Christian Women Council (CWC): Our purpose is to provide women above the age of forty (40) training, instruction, spiritual support and encouragement in a Godly forum. In this forum women are challenged to strive for excellence. We teach the importance of integrity in every aspect of life: home, marital and family relationships, church, etc. We mentor, train and are prayer partners to young women. We volunteer in women shelters, and rehabilitation centers. We support auxiliary leaders, missionaries, pastors, superintendents, bishop wives and supervisors. Greeters: Our purpose is to serve as the welcoming body to the sanctuary. The greeters meet members and visitors at the door offering a warm welcome to Lighthouse. We also support the Pastor, and our House of Worship, by participating in conventions, seminars and other functions. Please see the president of the Greeters to become a member of this department.
Hospitality: Our purpose is to provide aid and care for our Pastor and his guests. Our endeavor is to ensure that each of our guests’ visits is as comfortable as possible. Please see the president of the Hospitality department to become a member.
Men’s Ministry: Our purpose is to fellowship, pray, and encourage one another from the Word of God; creating a Godly atmosphere and cultivating Godly men to become better servants, husbands, fathers, and friends. Music & Arts Department: Our purpose is to serve the congregation through traditional, classical, or contemporary gospel music. As true music ministers, we will always pursue excellence. We have a genuine desire to have a more effective music ministry that will encourage and usher in a spiritual atmosphere conducive for worship through song and dance. Nursing Home Ministry: Our purpose is to help improve the quality of life of those who are often forgotten. Visitation locations include assisted living facilities and nursing home communities. Please see the president of the Nursing Home Ministry to become a member.
Street/Feeding/Prison Ministry: Our purpose is to feed and evangelize Jesus Christ in the community and in prison settings. This is a cohesive team that works for the glory of the Lord. Please see the president of the Street Ministry to become a member.
Sunday School Department: Our purpose is to serve as an education ministry for the body of Christ. All ages are encouraged to attend Sunday School. Please see the Sunday School Superintendent to become a member of the Sunday School staff.
Usher Board: Our purpose is to train officers of the church to maintain an orderly worship atmosphere in God’s house for a positive Christian experience. Please see the Usher Board president to become a member of the usher board.
Young Women Christian Council (YWCC): Our purpose is to engage women eighteen (18) years old and above (married or single) whose primary purpose is to dedicate themselves to greater Christian service. In addition to spiritual growth and development, this organization addresses the concerns of young women which include finding a mate, home building, decorating, meal planning, parenting, child care and development, understanding teenagers, marital concerns, etc. The YWCC explores the Christian approach to these and other life issues. Youth Department: Our purpose is to help train, educate and inspire our youth to develop spiritually, and increase their knowledge of God to become productive for the Kingdom of God. This Department uses innovative methods ensure our youth become valued resources for their family, church, and community. Iron Sharpens Iron: Ministerial staff coming together to study, discuss and explore deeper levels of the Word of God.
(LEAD) Leaders Each Accountable for Development: Leadership training courses and classes; in order to help develop and equip leaders for Kingdom work. Leaders to be accountable for growth in ministry.
